The race is all about fun with the sexy competitors running on the beach dressed only in their fabulous bikinis. This highly entertaining race draws a big spectator crowd as you can imagine and is also great fun for the competitors.
There are two races, the three kilometer and the nine kilometer and although there is an entrants fee this is not excessive. And the first one hundred will get a finisher shirt.
Runners will be separated into age groups from 16-40 for both women and men and the over 40’s group again for both sexes.
The race starts and finishes outside Central Festival which is the ideal location for an event such as this. Central Festival opened in 2009 and since then has dominated the city’s skyline being the tallest structure on the beachfront.
It is the home to many high street brands, from fashion, electronic goods, home furnishings etc. There is a food court on the ground floor and many top class restaurants serving a wide range of food from: Middle East, Japan, Korean, Italian, and many many more.
Central Festival also has a multi screen cinema and a games area on the upper floors to entertain both young and old.
Pattaya Beach is a four kilometer crescent of coastline that hugs Pattaya Bay and faces out to the Gulf of Thailand. On most days you can see Koh Larn and some of the smaller islands dotted about.
It is home to a huge number of boats, speedboats, jet skis, parasails, floating restaurants as well as diving boats. If you are not a holiday activity person you can just relax and lay on one of the sunloungers being pampered by the vendor.
The Beach Road is quite picturesque lined with a promenade littered with palm trees, and facing the city side of the road are numerous hotels, shops, restaurants, bars and shopping malls to keep the whole family entertained.
At one end of the Beach Road is the famous Walking Street, which is a neon zone of packed bars, drinking venues and clubs which comes alive at 10pm and keeps on going until three or four in the morning.
Pattaya Beach is the epicentre for the whole of Pattaya, it is where most tourists head to on arrival as it simply has everything to offer. That is why it is home to events such as The Bikini Beach Race 2018.
It has the infrastructure to cope with an influx of competitors and plenty of vantage points for spectators to see the race.
