Pattaya is the playland resort of Thailand and outside of Bangkok has more events and happenings than any other place.
The coastal city is a magnet for music events in particular, in fact live music can be heard all over the city every night. But over the past few years, possibly following Pattaya City Hall’s lead with the massive free International Music Festival, more and more large outdoor music festivals are choosing to select Pattaya to host their events.
In the Pattaya Events blog pages we feature what is available and tell you all about them, if you really want to know what is going on then contact us, we are the experts of what is happening in the party city.
In this blog we look at the upcoming Warp Music Festival.
Warp Music Festival
Warp Music Festival established itself in 2014 as Thailand’s first ever Beach EDM festival. In 2017 the third edition will take place and for the first time it will be a two day festival, taking place from the 19th to 20th May.
The venue once again will be the private beach of the Saisawan Beach Resort, on Jomtien Beach in Pattaya. There will be early bird tickets available and two day passes for avid fans.
Warp Music Festival 2016
The Warp Music festival of 2016 was a huge success, the standard music format was Electro House, Progressive House, Big Room, Bass Music and Trap.
It was attended by over 5,000 dance music enthusiasts and there was 6 parties during a period of 30 consecutive hours.
The line up of DJ’s and live artists was strong: Marshmello, Lookas, Matisse & Sadko, Morgan Page and Valentino Khan. The performances were based on a designated Techno stage and surrounding areas.
As required by such events, there was plenty of after show parties and the whole shebang ended up in the clubs and venues of Walking Street and spilling into greater Pattaya.
The Warp Music Festival brings a unique EDM feeling to the city whilst the event takes place. And cements Pattaya as a place to go for the ultimate in electronic dance music.
The added factor of the beach location adds to the whole overall feeling of the event, it makes it a more fun and entertaining event than serious international clubs. There is a distinct party atmosphere and music fans come to enjoy their favourite genre and have fun.
The advice is to book early and ensure you have accommodation all sorted, although it is not peak holiday time in Pattaya, tourists are visiting all year round due to the city’s attractions and of course the climate.
